***UPDATED 12.02.09***
Well folks I know its hard to believe, but the time has come for the 2010 calendar creation process to begin! I was really rushed last year to get everything together properly and while it was a good calendar there are parts of it that definitely could've been improved with more time. I'm also hopeful that we will get more traffic through the process if I allow more time for it to be seen, for pictures to be submitted, and for people to vote on their favorites.
The quick summary is to simply send me the photo that you want to be on the calendar in the biggest resolution you have (at least 1600X1200) via PM, email, what have you. I'll make sure that it will fit and then I'll post it with the other submissions! Its as easy as that!
Photo submission is now closed, sorry folks! The voting poll is now up in the voting/submission thread.
Here is a more specific overview of the process so that everyone knows whats going on:
Photo Submission
Voting
Overall
That pretty much sums it up! Feel free to post questions/comments/suggestions on this thread.
The submission thread is locked so as to eliminate the drivel that we all love so much (Zach and Rob!) so come here and comment away. ;D
Here's the link to the voting/submission thread. Voting is completed, with a tie for 10th place!
Here's the link to the tiebreaker thread. Voting is completed for this one as well.
The Calendar is now up and available for purchase! You can find it at our CafePress store, AuroraClubNA.

Here is a more specific overview of the process so that everyone knows whats going on:
Photo Submission
- The photo submission process is what will start now and continue until September 10th.
- Instead of posting them yourselves I will need FULL RESOLUTION pictures submitted to me. Part of the problem is that the pictures last year weren't given to me on time and weren't big enough to use on the calendar.
- I prefer that you send me pictures through a PM. If you need to do so you can send me pictures via email to xjsman89@auroraclubna.com. Be sure to include your ACNA username and send me a PM telling me that you have emailed me a picture.
- Full resolution pics mean that I need them as big as you can get them to me, not trimmed to fit on the site. I will add your pictures myself once I confirm that I have what I need for it to work on the calendar. AT LEAST 1600 X 1200 PIXELS, larger is preferred (and will result in a cleaner picture).
- While I wouldn't recommend it, you will be allowed to change the photo you submitted to me up until September 10th. It's a good idea to get your photo in as quickly as possible in order to have it be seen by everyone. You only get to change your photo a maximum of two times, so choose wisely.
Voting
- In the event of a tie vote, A two week tiebreaker vote will be held.
- If the tiebreaker vote ends in a tie, the best picture will be chosen by ACNA staff.
- Everyone will get four votes this year.
- Voting will take place from September 11th until November 1st. I know that's a while but keep in mind the idea is that everyone (including members who aren't around here often) should get a chance to vote.
- Voting will take place in the submissions thread. The poll will be hidden for the entire voting period, and you will be able to see it once the voting completes at 12:00am central time.
Overall
- The calendar will be put together via Cafe Press again. I'm giving myself a month to do all the photoshop work needed, get it together, and get it online and ready for purchase. The target date is December 1st.
- The price has yet to be determined, but don't expect it to be too steep. (approx. $17)
- There will be meet pictures taking up a couple slots. Auroras in Aurora and the Springfield meet for sure. Others (if any) are TBD.
- Please note that this is an Aurora calendar... aside from meet photos please don't submit photos of you and the car.
- Everything is subject to change of course, if I find that there is a better way to do things then I might change up how its done.
