Last friday I got hit again. I did a somewhat hard stop at a yellow light (one of those times where its bad to go through but also bad to stop and its a tough decision) and the old man behind me was planning on going through. He stomped on his brakes but not quick enough and he bumped the Aurora with a fair tap. I pulled off right at the intersection and he followed, and I made sure they were alright first and told them not to worry about it (the rear bumper was already messed up from the last accident, I didnt even notice a difference where he hit me). Him and his (assuming) wife seemed like nice people.
Unfortunately, he was driving a newish (well kept anyways) Olds 88, and he crumpled a couple components on his car. I commented on that it was a nice car. No pix sorry, just thought it was ironic that i got hit again, and the fact that I can't even tell I was hit again lol. Hoping the money he saved from not getting a ticket or raised insurance will be used to properly fix the car.

That is crazy! At least you haven't got hit hard enough to deploy the airbags yet. They will mess up the windshield and your face. That was really nice of you to just call it even. You didn't get hurt or anything did you?

I thought your Aurora was totaled and not driveable. AT least he had an Olds, so you almost had to forgive him, maybe he was starring at your Aurora like when I see an Aurora hit couple of curbs and on sidewalks and then realize I have one!

The aurora is still driveable, but im chewing through tires once a month and the suspension damage is beyond feasable repair when you factor in the body and interior work also needed.
the only difference with the aurora is that that red side marker right on the rear passenger side has fallen out and hangs by the wire. I taped it back on with duct tape. that light was already broken from the parking lot accident but hadnt fallen out yet.
I wasnt hurt or anything, it was a good bump at best not even enough to cause whiplash just enough to damage the bumper. The airbags wouldnt have gone off even if i was hit hard being rear ended, unless i was pushed into something else. The other oldsmobile didnt have airbags deploy either, which was more of a possibility. i think by the time he hit me he was going about 5 miles per hour if i had to guess. he was hard braking from about 45 mph.

I noticed that a lot of yellow lights are too short for the intersection or the speed limit. When it's our "home turf" we remember them, but elsewhere, watch out! So... not too much damage. Good!

It's a good thing you haven't been hit by a semi yet.

sounds like you have experience?
If I could get hit by a semi in any car, it would be the aurora.
