Not really to sure how to describe this but here we go. Once in a while, my turn signal actuator (relay) starts clicking after I start my car. The turn signal lights do not show on the dash cluster and yet I can clearly hear the relay clicking away as if the turn indicator has been activated. Now, I can shut it of, but doing....well anything, tapping the turn signal arm, activating the wipers or even putting the car in gear. And before you ask, no the turn signal arm is not pushed down or in any active position. heh...kinda hard to describe it, but any ideas? I want to chalk it up to gremlins, but there has to be a more logical answer.

Any fix? Apparently is a short in the wand itself, I live with it because its not that big of a deal, does it once in a while when I start the car, but stops if I activate the turn signals, accel or brake... Weird...

Actually, it may be that the switch is need of cleaning. to do so you will need -compressed air and QD cleaner which you can get at Advance Auto Parts. Here's how: 1. remove knee bolster 2. pry out with fingers the interior lamps panel and fuel door panel on the Instrument Cluster 3. There are some Torx headed bolts securing the covers on the steering wheel. One is under the Tilt . 4. unsnap covers 5. Looking from driver door you'll see 4-5 Gold colored circle opening's at the base of the switch. you can rotate your switch to help identify them. 6. ******make sure you disconnect the Battery**** 7. Spray the cleaner on those little opening's and follow it with compressed air. Do so about 7 times. 8. Allow to thoroughly dry for about 30 min's 9. replace all covers. **this problem is linked to an extreme amount of electrical grease in the switch. this should take care of that as it did on mine. Hope this help's!!
