Does anyone know how to take those black plasic clips that hold the plastic brushguard(?) under the engine off? Do you just pull like heck?

Not really, but I was taking off the engine cover to take a picture of the FPR. I discovered that they had moved(changed?) the location of the FPR.. But thats another story, I dropped the socket that I used to take the bolts out with. It fell in front of the engine and I thought it might be easier to gain access from the bottom. Guess I was wrong! To make a long story even longer ;D I had to take the radiator cover off, the air filter housing off, just to get that stupid socket! Aaaarggggghhhhhhhhhhh

They're called push pins. When they're out they look similar to a cheap drywall anchor. You can try pliars, but like all things automotive, there is a specialiazed push-pin puller tool. You can call autoparts stores. I borrowed one from a friend of mine who's a mechanic. I think snap-on made the one that I used.

It's probably cheaper to buy new pins than a tool...

Autozone loans specialized tools for free........maybe they have it. Who knows?
I'm gonna try and go there tomorrow. The car beeped twice while my sister was driving it and told her to "service engine soon." I drove the car for a short while tonight and it appears to be surging a bit. At idle the needle (on the tach) will move down and then back to normal. It also seems to be running a little rough when idling. Hopefully its throwing a code. I personally hope its the plug and not the o2 sensor. From what I hear, the o2 sensor is not a fun change and I am not looking forward to it if thats the problem.
