Hi, i've heard of a few people around my area that own the 1st gen aurora having problems with the idler pulley. Somehow it causes havoc in the serpentine belt area and wipes out a few things on it's way.
has anyone on here had any problems like this?

I had a sort of problem with this. My (former) dealer diagnosed that the pulley was wearing out and making noises. They cured it by putting on a new alternator ! ! Expensive labour because removing the belt is apparently a real b*tch.

Trust me. The belt is as you said. I replaced mine because it was degraded severely. You almost have to be a contortionist to get to it. Took about 2 hrs.
