First of all turn your caps lock off.
Second, I don't think they messed up your mileage. Since you reset your DIC mileage setting it has no where to average from. When the DIC calculates your mileage, it takes the miles driven (calculated by revolutions of the tire (I think)) and divides the answer by the amount of gas used since the DIC was last reset (in your case you last reset your DIC at the dealership). So the car only had 5 miles to calculate your average MPG.
Take her out for a cruise or so nice highway driving and I'm sure she will reward you with a better MPG rate. ;D ;D

AT IDEL IT WENT FROM 15MPG THEN KEPT SEEPING TO 8... Since you are going 0 miles at idle, you get 0 mpg. Average that in with any economy, and it will make it drop the longer you sit idle. Like erw said, you haven't averaged it over a long enough period. If you'd reset it in your driveway a few seconds before shutting it off, it would have read 0 mpg. Just imagine how pissed you'd be then...

lol...they are right. anyway if it continues to go 8mpg after 50 miles id be a little worried. hehe. make sure you have a clean air filter and use premium fuel...dont run 87, the aurora isnt happy with that.
