Now I realize that travelling from Windsor to Ottawa isn't as exquisite as going from San Tropez to Monaco, but I had a week off work and my lady's sister-in-law had just given birth and we (well she wanted to do it and since I didn't have an alternative she won) thought why not take a roadtrip visiting family and friends in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal.
I'm not going to lie, visiting family doesn't rank up there as the most fun activity I want to do as a roadtrip, but the promise of meeting a new member to the family, sightseeing the 1000 islands, and getting wasted in Montreal cheered me up quickly. The aurora delivered in spades as far as riding comfort, and fuel mileage, not that I expected her to fail me.
Needless to say we had a wonderful time. As a resident I take to take this province for granted, but Ontario is one beautiful place and I urge all who wish to should scratch that itch and visit Ontario in the summer (I advice you to mix the 401 and the side highways such as 2 or three as the 401 gets boring once you near Toronto).
The one blemish from this trip was a nice crack we received as a present from an 18-wheeler on our way back. So now we have to deal with a 12-inch gash starting from the bottom of the passenger side. I'm presently deciding if I should take Speedy Glass' low offer (I've read some mixed reviews on Speedy franchises and I'm a bit skeptical although the price difference is attractive) or Apple Glass' reputation for good customer service.
All things considered a great trip we're planning our next trip to be south of the 48, so any ideas to use to sway my lady would be appreciated.
Cheers all and happy travelling.
