It was end of January, on a Friday and i parked outside our school for pick up my son. It was dark and i parked away from other cars. The parking lot was full of snow and it was -20 Celsius outside...! It was a record of snow and cold weather! Since 1860 or something. Then on Saturday i decided to get my Rora some wash. We have good places here for that.
In that time i get a shock. My little Aurora had been hurt, with paint scraper on the front and the fender and some "ding" on the corner. The car who done this was red!! I live in a very little community with only one school. I find him or her sooner or later!
Ok, then home, little crying some drinking and more crying..
To the local Police and a report on Monday. 4 weeks later i get a letter: Sorry, no witnesses so by by..!
It was no expensive thing but it must be done soon. The paint was cracked and i don´t wanna see any rust on my baby.
One lucky thing in this was that the front needed new paint and the the fender had been repainted in U.S. after some incident. That new paint was a horrible work in my point of view.
Luckily i found a man who doing first class paintings. They doing work even on classic cars and he know all about all my love to Oldsmobile. I got her back yesterday with a very good price and a very good job done. I´m very glad now and both my Rora and me are very satisfied.
I can´t see any different between the old original painting and the new one, and the fender and front is totally right again.
Thanks, Arne
