I couldn't get on here last night between about 10 PM & midnight. All I got was the black backround & the ACNA logo. Did anybody else have this trouble?

Not me, it allowed me to log on just fine. Weird.

I think that I know what the problem was. Spyware. I ran into the same trouble again last night. I got offline, ran Norton 360, and this site worked fine for me again.

Good catch, Marc. That stuff can cause all kinds of problems, especially with internet connectivity and reaching certain sites. Did your Norton sweep indicate any particular spyware/malware programs that were found?

The Norton 360 was pulling up a huge amount of spyware, much more than usual. After just a few minutes online, it was finding the same amount as it would after several hours on the net. I'm going to use Norton again in a few minutes & then I'll be able to name names.

After 35 minutes online, the Norton 360 pulled in 29 pieces of spyware. 10 of them................................................................
Rubicon project.com 2o7.net atwola.com atdmt.com quantserve.com double click.net bridgetrack.com advertising.com apmebf.com mediaplex.com
I am now getting much more spyware than usual.
EDIT: No viruses. They are very rare for me & the Norton 360 nails them immediately.

this past week i was unable to open certain folders on my computer and windows defender had somehow been turned off so i ran it and it found about 30 spyware which had accumulated in a few days time. some music files are actually missing too. it appears i was hacked. not sure how someone can remotely turn on / off windows defender.

^^ Thanks for the link Marc... and yes to confirm, the outage last night (12/01/10) was on the Proboards end with our parent host. It likely affected many forums hosted with PB, but just ACNA. Glad we're back up! ;D

Glad to have helped.......and after reading the support board at Proboards, it affected many other forums besides ours.

I went there too. That forum was on fire with "too many connections?" questions. One thread I started to read had 375 views and by the time I got to the end of page 3 there had been 1100 views!
