Picked up my very own Aurora yesterday, because despite four years of pleading my gramps still wont sell me his. Haha So about the car 1999 Bronze Mist Metallic Tan interior Sunroof Autobahn Chome wheels w/ gold emblems Rear Aurora emblem on tail light 136,000 miles Mechanically solid, new tires, new brakes, no knocks, rattles, ticks, shudders, etc. Today I started at 10am and finished at 6:30pm and accomplished a few things. First i washed it, did a liquid clay treatment, clay bar, cleaner wax, polishing wax, finish wax, cleaned the windows inside and out, scrubbed the tires and polished the wheels. Then i pulled the back seat out (and discovered the most horrific mess ive ever seen in a car, haha) and scrubbed the seat cushions down with a sponge and soapy water, scrubbed the rear door panels and plastics, and treated everything. Then i decided to pull the gold reflective tint off... It came off of the side windows with no issue, but the back window was a three hour adventure. In short the film came off but the adhesive did not . Needless to say that sucked up all the time i would have spent cleaning the front seats, so thatll be a christmas day adventure. Bad parts of the car i need to tend to also; moldy trunk, a good tune up, a new drivers seat buckle, foggy headlights, a boatload of scratches, and the pillar cover fabric. The only shot i got of it today...crappy phone pic. More to come! ;D

It looks nice, man! Those emblems on the wheels are VERY rare. We suspect that they were an aftermarket accessory made when the Aurora was still on the showroom floors. GM dealers sometimes offer things like that. It sure wasn't a factory option. Your Aurora is only the second or third that I have seen with those hubcaps.
Good find! I'm sure you two will be happy together. ;D

The car was originally purchased in Scottsdale so i guess it would make sense for it to have such a thing added on. Ive gotten mixed reactions from everybody thats seen the pics but i like em, esp with that bronze mist. Also, according to the vin decoder theres only 3 other Auroras like mine.

She looks good! I also like the wheels emblems, but I think they would look better if that was with gold package. They still look nice, though! And the color is great IMO

Went out and took some shots of the Aurora. Overall it looks really good, im really excited to finally own one. ;D Also took some pics of the bad; deep scratches, painted seat, stained carpet/rear seat, remaining window tint, sagging pillar fabric, dirty rear package tray, chewed up seat buckle (my bad), broken light, moldy trunk, hooks riveted/screwed to the dash, broken center console, foggy headlight, faded gold emblem, to name a few…

Great car. That color really shows off its elegant curves. As others have said, the problems pictured are pretty minor. You're never going to make a brand car out of it, but most of that stuff is easily fixed. Hopefully, there's a you-pull-it type junkyard near you. Most of the interior parts you need are easy to remove and install and shouldn't cost you very much if you're willing and able to remove them yourself. I've gotten some great stuff real cheap for my Bonneville at one near me.
FYI, the 1996-1999 Olds LSS has the same center console as the Aurora. One exception might be the rear vent on the center console. It is fragile, vulnerable, and frequently broken. It was broken on both my LSS and my Aurora, as well the one on my Bonneville (different design, but same design flaw). The cup holder arm is also a frequently broken item, but easily replaced.

Thanks! And yeah, I already found a pick-n-pull that happened to have an Aurora with a matching interior...needless to say it's all sitting in my apartment ;D. There actually was an LSS up on blocks directly across from the Aurora, and though i didnt look at the front protion of the center console i did notice the back half. Not only was it different but it too was smashed to pieces.
