Haha Lance it's probably from the lamps they use for jaundice, although I doubt they have much UV. I bet gettin bit by one of those frogs doesn't feel good though. I couldn't tell ya though. Only hands on experience with a frog I have is one I called Gomer that lived in fish tank with some red eared sliders and the one I dissected in middle school.

Great pics, Lance! What camera do you use? Also, those cinder blocks remind me of Les Nessman's use of tape to outline his "office" on WKRP in Cincinnati.

that's pretty cool dynamic. did it taste as good as it looks? much to my surprise the robin now has babies. the odd part is that last year, i didn't have baby robins around here until mid summer when it was well into the 90's. these guys hatched a few days ago during the first week of april and it was still fairly cool here, even dropping into the 40's at night. its real funny when the daddy jumps up there too, almost like walking a tightrope ha ha but he doesnt stay long fuzzy pics were shot through glass window like most babies, they aren't too cute yet

25 years in the woods hunting deer & turkey, never missed a regular season and i've never seen a pheasant. now that i've watched one in the wild, i can say i have heard them before, but they are from asia so... got a 3 hour treat this morning, but it would not come any closer than 150 yards. it seemed intimidated by my turkey decoys, and would let out a holler when i would call. i saw it's mate once, but they are just grey and she was even farther off. here's the best pic of the bunch, when it got about 100 yards, but the rest of the time i watched it with bionoculars. it was so beautiful, like running into a peacock in the woods! purple chest, blue neck, white collar, red head, gold wings... it was big enough, i mistook it for a turkey at first glance.
