Hey Guys,
Will some Buick Riviera Rims fit a 95 model Aurora ? The bolt patter in 5x115, which I know is right, but they are only 6.5" wide. That doesn't sound right. Can anybody help me out ? I would think they would be at least 7" wide.

The problem here is that you would be going to narrower rims. The 1995 Aurora rim is 7" wide.

I thought it was 7.5" wide because it has a 235 tire. The 2001 3.5 16"ers use 225s

I have no idea now. I would have thought the Riviera wheels were the same size as the Aurora's. They were like brother/sister cars almost. Maybe the guy just measured the wheels wrong. Who knows.

I believe the classic rim is 16"x7.5".

I just read that the Classics were 7" wide. Moot point, the bidding has gotten out of control on the wheels I was looking at. Thanks for your time guys. If anybody has a definite answer, I would love to hear it though. No offense to anyone that has answered so far.

the Riviera has the same width rims as the Aurora does.. The Riviera tires are 225/60-16. Which Riviera rims were you looking at? I hope the prestige package wheels. (Riviera signature rims.) those were some nice looking rims. I had those on my 97 Riviera. Much nicer than the classic rims IMO. EDIT: I just looked and it's the 2nd gen that has the 225 tires. the classic IS 235. Odd. The wider tires aren't necessarily better though. I bet the classic is somewhat unstable in snow..

Depends on which rims and tires your car came with. The 2nd Gen's had 17" rims as optional equipment (P235-55-17 tires). It's great in the snow with the factory rubber.

Customer 88: Those are the exact rims I was looking at. I think they are beautiful rims. They would look excellent on a Classic. However, the bidding seems to have gone through the roof.

I agree those would look good... very similar spoke design to the chrome 2nd-gen wheels, which have a nice look on the Classic also. Check your local scrap yards for any Riviera's, maybe there's one sitting there with those rims on it!

Classic unstable in the snow?? The 2nd gen is, too.. (at least compared to some other cars I've driven)
