My 1999 classic aurora needs basic maintenance. Throttle body, mass air flow sensor, EAC valve should be cleaned/serviced at this time. Can anyone refer a competent mechanic/repair shop experienced with the oldsmobile North Star engine?

A Cadillac dealer would be your best bet. But I found out that any GM dealer can work on the 4.0 or 4.6. Some time ago, a Chevrolet dealer was able to replace the intake manifold gasket on my Aurora.

No need for three different threads. If you can't find a reliable competent local mechanic by word of mouth then go to a Cadillac dealership. Most of those jobs are easy for a DIYer. Have a basic set of tools and research here and it can all be tackled for the price of throttle body and MAF cleaner.
