Just changed my oil pressure sensor and was kind of trying to gauge if it's reading normally. Cold start up around 75 or so, warm idle around 19-21. and cruising 55-60mph the pressure is reading about 55 psi. Sound about normal to everyone? BTW, when you're doing a lot of things to track an oil leak after an oil change it really helps if you don't pour half a quart all over the front of your engine block. FUNNELS---they are our friends!(More wisdom from stupidity, lol)

I'm in that ballpark. 70 cold, 15 warm, 55 @ 60 mph.
What is this funnel you speak of? LOL!

After thirty minutes of driving I remembered to check. 31psi at 60mph, 9psi at idle. To me the 9psi seemed low, I remember asking before. My 68 scores about 30 at idle and 50 something warm at speed. Then again it has 90k fewer miles on the motor anyways.

To me the 9psi seemed low... Alarm sets at <5 psi, you're OK.

70+ at start up8-9 at idle 24-28 at 55. I keep checking the oil and it shows full. In the hot summer at idle the warning bell comes on because it drops so low.

Old sensor... >> Cold startup (Idle): 70psi >> Warm (Idle): 8-9 psi >> 60 MPH: 45-50 psi
New sensor (Broke the old one changing the front motor mount)... >> Cold startup (Idle): 70psi >> Warm Idle: 14-15 psi >> 60 MPH: 38-40 psi

My new sensor has been in place for a few weeks now and I have yet to see the pressure drop below 20 at idle. I am VERY pleased. I think a good cleaning of the engine bay and underside(and topside!) are in order as I want to be able to get home from work and not smell the residual burnt oil smell.
