Hi everyone,
My 96 has just finished a road trip from Philadelphia to Vancouver ! Had some issues around half-way of the trip and had to do some repairs, but everything is ok now ! My only issue is the Driver side Power Seat do not work completely.
I"ll try to be clear:
- The passenger side power seat controls all work ( forward - backward // lumbar // and inclination ) - Driver side power seat controls, only 2 are working ( lumbar and inclination )
So on the driver seat, I can't bring the seat forward or backward to adjust for driver's size.
Any idea what I could do to try and fix this ? Could it be the fuse even if only one control isn't working ? Can I manually bring the seat back a few inches ?
I'm a pretty tall guy and since I can't bring the seat backwards, my knees rest on the bottom of the dashboard. I've got used to it by now, but would still like to know if I can fix it !
Thanks for your help !

Check Here first. If that's not the culprit take a look at the connectors under the seat, I had a few wires pulled out there on my '99, restored my lumbar functions

Mine had the same issue but it was the wires in the doors that were broken!Rca99aurora posted the link above on what to do!

Yes. wires in the door are often the problem. The wires have a tendency to break where they flex going between the door and the body of the car, but there's also a possibility the switch might be bad. That happened on the first LSS I owned. My (now ex) wife, who was much shorter than I, drove the car to work one day and moved the seat up, but then it wouldn't move back. Also check the wires under the seat. The recline wouldn't work on the second LSS I had and the problem ended up being the wires were sheared off where they went into the motor. I actually had to take the motor housing apart to re-solder them and wouldn't you know it, I managed to solder them backwards so I had to push the switch forward to lean the seat back and back to move it upright. I didn't discover this until I had everything buttoned up, so I never bothered to fix it.
