Hi everyone,
So my passenger headlamp is out. Low-lights only, hi-beams still work fine. I was trying to take out the light assembly per the owners manual, however, I was stymied at the second step. I got the two screws out (step 1) and was then able to move the assembly forward a couple inches, but not enough to take the lamp out. The second step in the manual talks about using a screwdriver to separate the assembly from the "outboard snap mounting pin". I could not see this for the life of me. Does anyone have a picture of this or a better description?

Just put your fingertips on each side of the assembly and pull straight out. I've got pretty thick fingers, never had to use a pry bar or screwdriver. If you can't pull it out that way, pry between the assembly and bracket as far out as you can. I'll get you a pic...

Pry anywhere along the yellow/black lines (Insert screwdriver between assembly and mounting bracket and push gently towards back of vehicle). Second pic is the snap mount pin.

Are the 9006 Halogen low beams out, or is it a relay issue? Thanks.

be sure to check the wiring, when I got my aurora one of the low beams were not working, turned out to be a split wire, a simple fix if you know what you're doing

It's weird, looking at the car the low beams seem bright. However, on the road in the dark, they don't even look like they're on. So, stop at the local Auto parts store and got a pack of H11 Silverstar's. Here is the before pic...

you might need to clean the lenses might look clean but they not.

Is it possible to remove the low beam lens? The outer glass is real clear, but inside the glass bubble for the low beam appears to be cloudy. Also, it looks like there is some kind of deflector or something. What the heck?

That is the projector lens and it always appears to be a little cloudy.

Just want to add my own 2 cents here:
1. There is no H11 bulb on the 2nd gen. Low beam is 9006 and high beam/DRL is 9005.
2. The outer lens on the headlight is plastic of some sort and can be restored using a headlight lens restore kit or your own special concoction of products.
3. The lens on the low beam projector is glass, could be polished to be clear if you wanted. The lens is a "frensel" lens which is meant to have tiny dimples to reflect the light in more directions and that causes the light to loose intensity.
4. When you say deflector do you mean the shield? That needs to be there.
5. Your low beam projector bowl might be peeling the chrome or burnt. That could cause major issues when seeing at night.
6. Just do a retro!
Hope any of that helped.

Yup, H11 will not work. Installed new set of 9006 Silverstar Ultra SU2. Much better.
