Been driving my newly acquired 02 Aurora for a few months now. Slowly repairing issues as they present themselves.
After 2 days of torrential rain, I managed to make a trip to the store while it was dry out. However, my wipers would not stop. Never had this issue before.
I think the lever is in the off position, but the wipers run fast when parked and slow to every 15 seconds at road speeds.
Not sure why this would happen all of a sudden...

My guess: a short in the wiper switch.

There was a member here with the same issue a while back. IIRC, the problem was the delay module(pulse board) on the wiper motor. Think he replaced the entire motor/module assembly. Worked for him!
Dood luck!

Good! I'm glad I found it.

Could be either wiper switch issue or the module assembly.

Pulled the fuse... It was driving me crazy. Is the rain sensor located in the lower portion of the plastic housing under the mirror against the windshield?

The entire rain sensor takes up the whole housing.

Really?
So, why didn't my wipers go on during the 10 or more car wash visits?
I pulled the fuse for now.
Not sure how to test any of the stuff it could be... - Controller board in Motor - Rain Sensor - Wiper multi-function switch

Rain sensor activates only when wipers are in first ON position if they off then rain sensor wont work.. there is a wire that goes to the sensor just disconnect and see if they will stop coming on.

Picked up a used wiper motor and swapped it out. Thanks Frank. Only took me a couple hours. Got wipers working again, woohoo...
