Hey everyone, I noticed for the first time ever yesterday that after a long (2 hour) highway drive (headlights off, mind you) I arrived at home to find moisture in my headlights, between the clear lens and the housing itself: This was weird, since it was only in one of the headlights where the other was perfectly dry. It never rained or anything during the entire drive or immediately before it, so I don't quite know why it's happening. I just know that it can potentially short out the headlight wiring which is something I obviously want to avoid. Anyone know why this could be happening?

You have opened them to paint the bezels. I would say you did not re-seal them well enough. Either that or you have a vent clogged. I don't know if 2G have vents but the Classic has two IRRC. I suppose another possibility is bad o-ring at the turn signal bulb connection or bulb not locked incorrectly.

Yes, my first thought was that I had opened them up and that they weren't re-sealed properly, but then why did this show up just now for the first time? And on only one of the lights? I didn't use any re-sealing agent when I closed them off aside from reheating the existing glue and firmly clamping the two pieces together. Good idea with the bulbs not being locked correctly, and might explain why it's just on this headlight. I'll check those tomorrow. Thanks for the reply!

All it takes is a small section to not be sealed properly for the headlights to fog up.Are the black caps on the back fitting properly? Use a hair dryer to get the moisture out which means removing the light to pull the bulbs out.

Yeah I can easily take out the entire housing and remove the bulbs to dry them up, but if it continues I'll have to reseal the housing. Anyone have any good sealant suggestions?

I actually bought some of this before I did the headlight paint mod but I didn't realize it was so thick. It wouldn't go between the plastic lens and housing, nor did just laying it directly over it seem like a good idea

Which projectors are you planning on using? After a novel's worth of back and forth emailing between awehlage and me (thanks again!), Morimoto minis for the low beams and eventually Hella MicroDEs for the fogs. Will probably get a kit from TRS but am trying to find lightly used or similar ones in the meantime.
