Well I went and looked at her yesterday and drove her home. The deal was way to good to walk away from. My new Aurora is an 1995 Autobahn model with 67,100 miles on her. I have attached a few pictures. Really is in mint condition. The original factory tags/stickers are still on the engine components. I really can't believe what I was able to find.
I went through her with a fine tooth comb and found only a couple of issues, most have been rectified today. Replaced both fog light bulbs, 2 marker bulbs, license plate bulb. We also replaced the Blower Control Modular, thanks to everyone that posted about the issues with these. Because of those posts we were able to identify the issue and replace the module on the way home when we stopped at a salvage yard. The final issue is the SES light and the hard shifting. I spoke with the seller in great detail and when they moved back to Texas, they transported the car on a tow dolly. When they arrived, they discovered the battery had died (they think they left something on), they jump started the car and charged the battery that way. That is when they discovered the hard clunk when putting it in gear. It is also when the AC Blower would not turn off. Based on what I have found here, I am seeing if the PCM reprograms itself. If not, I picked up a spare PCM from the yard as well. Yes it was also an autobahn and a 95 as well. I will change out the Eprom and slide it in. Hopefully that will fix this. Otherwise I will be dropping the pan and checking the solenoid's.
Next up tomorrow is 4 new tires, an oil change. Then once I figure out if I need to check the solenoids, I will have the transmission fluid changed as well. Window tint will follow by the end of the week.
Here are some of the before pics I took this morning. I will post follow up pics as I make changes and complete the mods I am wanting to do.
Thanks for everything!
