Can you reset and clear the codes by diconnecting the negative cable from the battery then running a wire from the positive on the battery to the negative cable, with negative still off the battery.

Just disconnecting the battery can reset the codes but it is not an ideal way to do it. A bluetooth scantool is about $5 for android users. Autoparts stores will do it for free. Both of those options for 96+. Got to ask though since you are asking to erase them, do you even know what the codes are? They will erase themselves after so many ignitions cycles if there is no faults. If you are erasing them for an inspection or emissions testing, they will know and you will fail.

P0410. But my goal isn't to necessarily clear the codes, I want to reset the computer and have it go through the relearn program. Idle, shift points, ect.

Well you stated reset and clear codes. The PCM will adjust itself. Why are trying to do that? The P0410 is probably going to require a new pump.
