The driver side heated seat doesn't work on my 100k 99. I bought it this way. The passenger seat works fine. On the driver side the little illuminated seat button doesn't do anything. I checked the fuse under the back seat only found 1 fuse labeled htd st it was fine. If I pull it the passenger seat stops getting hot. The button still lights up no heat. I don't know where else to look. Is there more fuses somewhere or is it jumped on with another circuit? I just figured the heating coil shorted and popped a fuse. Before I tear the seat cover off would like to trace down why the little button has no power. The relay under the seat doesn't do anything. IDK why the button would be dead. Any suggestions?

if there is a brake in heating element or a short the button wont turn on. not sure about 1g but on 2g common problem is the wire between bottom and the back of the seat that gets broken.

Break in the wires in the heat element is common. You can check for continuity in the circuit with a multimeter by sticking each probe in the plug sockets. This will at least tell you if you have a break in the wire before you tear anything out. Although, when my seat cushion element wire was broken, my button would stay on - just no heat. Still worth it to check. If that checks out, there is a heated seat control module under each seat towards the front. You can try swapping that between the seats and see if the problem follows.

"..the little illuminated seat button doesn't do anything..."
Does that mean it doesn't light up the high and low indications? If so, it may not be the heater at all but a break in the wire bundle at the door frame. When i bought my '98 I had several issues with items controllwed by the door switches, and with the side mirrors, and from this forum learned about that wire bundle. I found four broken wires in mine.

I had same issue with my Autobahn when i got her! Swapped switch assembly to no avail. Looked under seat to find wires(3 wires, not all of them) to heated st. module ripped out, replaced module! WooWho, heated seats!
