No. The MarkVIII has a 4.6, not a 4.0.

I read somewhere that is the optimal displacement for a v8.

Didnt the Jeeps or Chrysler vehicles have it as well? I think I seen an Pacifica or Grand Cherokee have a 4.0L badge on one before? I dont believe GM divisions had any other 4.0L but could be wrong.

Jeep used an 4.0L I6 in several models between 1984 and 2006... Marc, are all of these new engines? Makes me think some major racing series is on the verge of a "Production Based Engine Package".

Tigger.....I stand corrected about the inline 4.0. I always thought that that was a V6. And so far as I know, I don't think any of them is more than 2 model years old.

Marc, sorry if that sounded like a correction, it was simply an addition. AJ mentioned Jeep and Chrysler, both of whom have offered a 4.0L engine... Chrysler (Daimler) with a 4.0L V6 in the late 2000s, and Jeep with their (AMC's) 4.0L I6. And so far as I know, I don't think any of them is more than 2 model years old. That's very interesting...
