I just replaced the blower motor in the 3.5, as it has required tapping on it to get it to start for the last 6 months. What an absolute pain (I did the 4.0 probably 6 years ago and I remember it being difficult, but not this bad). The 3.5 had the first design without the ventilation tube, but I bought the 2nd design blower. After I closed it all up I realized that I forgot to install the ventilation tube. However, I cannot seem to find anything to connect it to... Anyone else convert to a the new blower motor design? If so, where did you route this tube?

I'm replacing my blower motor now. The old one didn't have a ventilation tube. How has your blower motor worked out? I'm assuming I'll be putting the new one but leaving the tube out. Did you cover the hole on the motor where the tube is supposed to go?
