Drove to dairy Queen and went to leave no power steering. Anyways got underneith 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0 v8 and the rear trans mount bracket bolts are super loose looking. Like you see the threads of the bolts. No power steering fluid leaking. Pump seems quiet not leaking. At cold start it works first couple turns. After that youhave to be incredible hulk to turn it. Has had dic warning say service stability system. Other than that have fixed 3 out of 4 windows and water leaks. Installed a aftermarket din stereo sounds nice and for some reason, the heat and air quit working all of a sudden I'm thinking climate control unit or blowing motor, Makes weird dinging sounds when off and hitting bumps in the road. I can also recreate the sound with my hand touching the blower motor in the engine. Any help or insight on repairing these problems would be greatly appreciated 184k 2001

that might be issue with the rack or air in the system , pump went and not enough pressure in the system service stability might show up because of the bad power steering since there is a sensor inside the column.

Just did I hope this is better was looking at rack when I saw the problem with the trans mount I'm hoping it has something to do with it If the Second generation is anything like the first generation, then the rack would mount to the left trans mount. This would be the mount closest to the rear of the car (so maybe this is the one you are referring to). The actual "rear" trans mount would technically be the hydraulic mount near the driver's wheel well. I would say it's possible that it could be part of the problem if it is indeed like the classic and the left mount is what you are referring to.

One of the three bolts holding the bracket I can tell is snapped off the other two are showing threads like as if someone tried to replace the mount but forgot to titen the bolts I'm confused lol

Yea I will tomorrow I'm going to try and tighten that mount up after I jack the engine up and see if the power steering is better the ps will come back for a sec when turning sharp and hitting a bump but then nothing again. I'll snap a few photos of some of the issues we have on this beast lol
