So my 02' aurora 3.5 has been having A/C issues lately. When I start my car, I turn on the A/C and nothing comes out. I sometimes just leave it on with nothing blowing out and SOMETIMES after ive been driving it will kick in and blow good cold air. It is the middle of the summer and would like to solve this issue before I make my planned road trips. Again, the A/C blows cold once it does work so I believe it is beyond a recharging issue. I just want to know why my A/c doesnt work as soon as I turn it on. It SOMETIMES kicks in after 15-25 mins of driving, but not always. What do you think the issue is, how can I fix it, or where can I go to get it fix? Thanks in advanced!

Sounds like your blower motor or blower motor control module may be on the way out.
Take the cabin air filter out and reach down through the opening and give the blower a spin. Then start your car and turn on the A/C. Does it start immediately? You can also give the blower motor housing a good whack, I've seen that work. If either works, you probably need a blower.

If the issue is that it isn't blowing air, it is more than likely the connector on the blower motor. I've had to replace it in both of mine. The contacts probably loosen up over time and don't make a good connection to the blower motor. You can replace the blower motor controller if you don't want to splice in a new connector.

So I took my cabin air filter out and saw the blower, spun it a few times then went to turn my car on. No luck there, but when i go back to give the blower another spin there is now a plastic cover over the blower restricting me from getting to it. I saw it slower close and now I cant open it back. Also, your method of giving it a good whack may actually be a good idea. Yesterday after taking a 20 min drive with no luck on A/C, I hit a bump in the road and on comes the A/C.

As my car is still on I go and give the blower another spin and on comes AC. Its like it just needs a little assistance to start up. Is this a blower motor or perhaps a connector issue?

You should be able to narrow down between the motor assembly and the connector by taking off the plastic shield under the passenger side of the dash. When the blower won't start when commanded on, try gently pushing or pulling on the connector to it. If this causes it to turn on, it is likely connector related. However if you need to give the assembly a good hit to get it to start, it's probably the motor.
FYI, the controller for the motor is just on the right side of the case if i recall correctly.
Also, the plastic flap that you mentioned is probably the recirculation air door. You can retract it by turning off recirculation or by selecting defrost.

20 - Blower motor 16 - Control module Yeah, if you have to help it start, the motor is basically done. I've heard of people taking it apart and cleaning it, with some short term success. But if I'm going in, I'm only going in once, haha! New blower motor is my vote.

Depending on which design your car was built with, it can be a real pain to replace the blower motor, FYI. If it has the first design, putting in the second design will seem impossible, but it is doable with a lot of plastic flexing. If it already has the second design, you may be able to replace just the blower motor without separate from the lower housing.

I am now having an issue removing the blower motor, I took out about 6 screw and still can't get it to budge. Can anyone show or tell me exactly how to remove the motor. I bought the 2nd design so know it's going to be a pain to put in, I just need help removin ? The old one for now. Thanks

If I get a min tomorrow I'll screenshot and post procedure. Just make sure that all screws are out from the housing (there are a few hidden ones). You may need to pull the carpet down too in order to get the assembly out.

Here it is without the diagrams...
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
Remove the right side sound insulator. Pull back the carpet near the blower motor. Remove the IP compartment. Remove the Dash Integration Module (DIM) from bracket. Remove the two rear DIM bracket screws. Reposition the DIM bracket to allow for removal of the blower motor.
Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining screws (1).
Lower the blower motor and rotate counter clockwise to remove from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Install the blower motor. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the blower motor retaining screws (1). Tighten Tighten the screw to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).
Connect the electrical connector (2) to the blower motor.
Reposition the DIM bracket to its original position. Install the two rear DIM bracket screws. Install the DIM into the bracket. Install the IP compartment. Reposition the carpet. Install the right side sound insulator.
