Hello Everyone! Just this past week I have purchased my first car a 2001 3.5L Aurora! I love it so far, it’s a bit of a project car getting it to pass inspection but all the more attached to the car I will become! I’ve found some great info on the forum so far and hope to get to know some of you guys out there! That’s all for now! -Tantostriker (Kyle)

Nice, welcome to the cult. A few things: 1) yours seems to be nice, externally at least(more than I can say about mine... haha) 2) You don't have a sunroof, I didn't even know they made them without sunroofs. You are SOOOO better off without it, trust me. And my first car was a 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham, ands I got that in 2014

I miss the sunroof haha. You're right though, I see way more with rather than without one.

I mean, if they didnt have constant leak issues and if it wasn't a huge chore to find a new seal they wouldn't be bad.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! And yes the car does look nice from the outside! The inside I have a few electrical issues I am working out step by step (frustrating) but I love the car and can’t wait to get it on the road!

If I didn't care about keeping things working as originally intended... I would have siliconed the window shut and disconnected the controls... haha.

A little white lithium grease around the glass panel seal every spring and fall and keep the drains cleared. Mine doesn't leak ...anymore, lol!

White lithium is metal-to-metal contact I thought. Wouldnt silicone grease work better?

Probably, but I use the lithium to lube the carrier slide tracks, so two birds...
I've also used PTFE (Teflon) grease on both with pretty good results.
