So I have looked in the forums for this answer & could find it anywhere... Will the factory head unit pictured below plug & play into my vehicle with the Bose head unit? My gut is to say "no" because there would be harness and BCM issues but I didnt want to just assume that. I know that this change is not possible with any of the touchscreen Toronados vs their regular head unit models without major rewiring; however, I have this *small* hope that GM might have changed this in the Aurora line. Thoughts anyone?

Thanks you guys. I didnt think about searching using the Nav keyword. If I can find the factory unit, I am for sure getting it; otherwise, this is going to be coming soon: www.crutchfield.com/p_158XAV5000/Sony-XAV-AX5000.html?avf=YIt will let me use my phone's GPS on the screen. Its probably better but I always prefer factory.

You make a good point. And here I thought I was the only one that thought the McCarthy firing was a mistake.

You make a good point. And here I thought I was the only one that thought the McCarthy firing was a mistake. Nope. It was bad form. Maybe at the end of the season but like this? No respect. Anyway, back on topic, it's good to know that if I run into one of these head units down the line, I can do a plug & play. It just amazes me how these things are engineered.

Will any of the head units you are talking about allow us to still use the steering wheel controls? if not, it be the only reason I wouldn't want to swap my factory CD/radio player for a updated aftermarket one (even thought it be awesome). I just hate when things don't work as factory....

They will put together the proper package that your car will accept AND you can call them for support when installing. Not just *any* head unit will fit in our cars. Crutchfield sorts through all of that for you.
