On the 4.0 V8: When I removed my throttle body to clean it, I noticed on the coolant crossover part, where the throttle body attaches, there is a little port hole on the upper left side. Notice how it's blocked halfway by metal? Is it cast like that on purpose? Or could I knock that out with my dremel? Would that improve vacuum flow?

So odd..... It makes me just want to take the dremel and knock it out lol. But then i look at it and maybe it's there to keep the perfect flow going through. Maybe if i cleared it out it be too much and off set things...

Yeah, I wouldn't mess with it. I would guess it is like that for a reason, and that would be a time consuming thing to fix if you needed to go back.

The Idle Air Control is near that area. Can't recall, is that a flow part for the IAC?
