As for close but not quite, I found this pump for a LS camaro it seems, this is what came off my 3.5l 2001: this is evidently what my 99 should have on it currently?: evidently this is the purpose of the unique casing of the pump, to mount it to the bracket which allows it to bracket to the engine? Does anyone who knows more about saginaw and GM ps pumps know if this is a TC pump(Saginaw type II is another name for this pump) that is been used since the 70s in various applications. TO my understanding it should be. but its two piece case and unique design from the 3.5l is very.. peculiar.. with spacing on the mounting different than most TC pumps, but the 99 pump there looks like a normal tc pump: Basically if its NOT the same pump design then what the hell is it lol

I figured more out. THey are simply a TC pump but designed to fit these custom setsup.
the 3.5 looks like the Pump is made to be partially submerged which makes it much quieter.
