I was sitting around with a small buzz looking at the aurora, Then I had the thought of what if they had offered the Aurora in a 9C1 or 9C3 like the Luminas in a police package . the drive trains are heavy duty, other than the 4.0's they could have gotten the 3.8 L67 like the Rivieras but keep the 4T80E not the 4t65E-HD. suspensions are pretty heavy duty . Then This shows up out of the blue ... www.ebay.com/itm/224781174869Attachments:

A short time before ACNA went online, some town in Connecticut took a 2G from a drug dealer & used it as an unmarked car for a while.

2nd gens are just a dolled up Intrigue... they dont hold a candle to the way the 1st gens where built.

I have a Hot Wheels 1st gen Aurora Police Car Black and White very good replica wrong wheels , but who cares ? ! I'm sure the Aurora would be an excellent Police Car ... Powerful , capable , roomy , good Fuel Mileage , good cockpit visibility , ruggedly built , four doors . Considering they axed Olds , overlooking a pursuit version made too much sense .

2nd gens are just a dolled up Intrigue... they dont hold a candle to the way the 1st gens where built. I have owned both 1st and 2nd Gen Aurora's. I will disagree with you 100%. I had so many problems with my 1 Gen that I sold it after 1 year. Ihave owned 4 2nd Gens and was so sad when my Final 500 got totalled by hail. I would never buy another 1st Gen again. The one thing I like about it was the Cockpit feeling behind the wheel.
