I have had issues with my passenger side headlamp bolt (Interior bolt, long one) being stripped I believe. When I try to remove my headlamp case I can get the exterior bolts off but the interior spins.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to get these out without cutting them out? Right now my passenger side light flicks off so I think it's loose but I can't get the case off.

My guess: the bolt might be broken.

My guess: the bolt might be broken. I can feel the bottom of the bolt and it still spins so it is not broken. I think it has some type of threaded plastic piece it goes through and that stripped. I will try some PB B'laster and see if that helps.

I had the same problem with my 2001. I ended up cutting the bolt; turns out the plastic piece (a bracket the width of the entire bumper that holds both headlight modules, etc. and helps to support bumper cover) was stripped at bottom. The female metal piece embedded in the bottom of the front-clip bracket had stripped and wouldn't let the bolt unscrew; it just spun and spun) So I went to parts yard and pulled an entirely new bracket; and you can bet I'm keeping it lubed so this doesn't happen again. What a PAIN! Greg "Dr K" Kennedy
