Hi all, Am in Australia and recently imported a 1997 Buick Riviera that has travelled only 10, 800 miles. Have been a Buick enthusiast since 1990 with a ‘64 Skylark but this ‘97 is a very different car. Am finding out that it and the Oldsmobile Aurora use the similar platform and other stuff. Am in the process of removing seat belts to replace them with Australian compliance belts and a whole lot of other stuff they want me to do to allow me to register it on LHD historical registration. Not very thrilled about pulling apart a pristine Buick but if I want to drive it I have little option. I hope you don’t mind if I check in here every now and then as every bit of information comes in handy and I only know of one other in Australia which is a 1995. Have a shop manual coming but that won’t arrive until November. I usually hang around the AACA Forum Rodney 😀😀😀😀😀

Welcome to the club. Yes the riv is a "sister car" to the Aurora and they share a decent amount of parts. Glad to have you here. Beautiful car!
