- My Aurora was my dream car for years and I love my '01 Aurora! Alas, I disconnected the battery as I was trying to replace the Cruise Control Lever (that's another post for another time). I wasn't able to replace the lever (there is a third screw that requires removal of the wheel - but that's something I'm not sure I'm able to do and another pose for another time.), so, I reconnected the battery and ran to the store. I was un-pleasantly surprised to find that the HVAC only wants to blow out the defrost vents and is warm. All worked perfectly fine before I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. The "position" control acts like it's working - the lights will move as you turn the knob; the whole climate control until acts like it is working - but nothing changes where the air is coming out. I tried disconnecting the battery again, waiting 15 minutes, reconnecting, then turning the ignition to "On" and waiting a couple of minutes (being I didn't do that drill the first time) - but that did not help. Fuse 33 does not look blown. Turning things on with the fuse out makes zero difference. Help!!!!!!! My dream car is currently a dud. 😞 Thank you all and thanks for this forum!

Why are you replacing the cruise control lever? 1.Turn OFF the ignition. 2.Remove the battery positive voltage circuit fuse of the Instrument Panel Control Module. IMPORTANT: The module memory will not clear if the battery positive voltage circuit fuse is installed in less than 60 seconds. 3.Wait 60 seconds. 4.Install the fuse. ========================== As opposed to taking power off the battery, do this OP. If this does not work, you need to get a good quality scan tool on it that can read B for Body codes.

When you reconnect the battery the HVAC will try to calibrate its possible that the Mode door actuator died at calibration or you need to recalibrate again. And Make sure outside temp sensor is working correctly if not it will have same symptoms as you have now.
