Yes, of all people, I should know, as I sold Auroras from 1995 to 2003. Does the first-generation Aurora have TPMS or just a system that recognizes rolling resistance for the low tire pressure warning system? The Owner's Manual (section 6-44 to 6-50) has no mention of TPMS. Local tire stores set up a TPMS reset at $8 per tire. Just want to be aware before I drop off the car tomorrow.

No TPMS sensors . It uses ABS to recognizes rolling resistance. Once you put air or change your tires go to the dic to the section Tire pressure and than hold reset till you see it says reset on the dic. Even if its saying tire pressure is normal still do it or you will get Low tire msg when there is not.

What was said is correct, you hold the button. They likely wont even know how to do it so check yourself when done. but dont pay no 8$ a tire lol

So, I know the 2001 to 2003 Auroras have the DIC information for tire pressures, but the 1995 to 1999 models do not. And it turns out that the wording in the invoice from Les Schwab Tires covers "new valve stems" but is worded as "TPMS resetting"!

No, 95-99 Auroras do not have any system or warning lights for tire pressure.

Strange That regal and intrigue had it and Aurora same years didnt. good to know! From a quick google search the first American car with it was the 1997 Corvette, the Aurora was developed in the early 90s so that probably has something to do with it. Besides the change to oBD2 in 96 there were only very minor tweaks to the original design over the years.
