It is an 893 bulb.
To replace thefog lamp bulbs you need to remove the retainers from the bottom air deflector. Then you can get to them. I was able to remove about 3-4 retainers on each side to access the fog lamp bulbs.

There is a under hood light? I was wondering if there was one, I'm staring a dark space when I lift the hood. I don't see where the light/lamp is, anyone got an under hood pic showing the light/lamp?
Also, the Audio VOL on steering wheel light is out, is that also a bulb? Still trying to figure out how to get in there.
Also, the P N R 1 2 3 light up but the little orange bar can't be seen at night, I suspect it is also suppose to light up, is there a second bulb responsible for lighting the orange bar?

Can someone verify if there really is an under hood light and if so where is it suppose to be located? I noticed this in the bulb list which is why I'm asking: Under hood light 561 I would really like to put a bulb under the hood if it is suppose to have one and I could figure out where

It is a 74 bulb in a PC socket (base). The bulb is actually a PC74 direct replacement, but you can remove the bulb and replace it. Just give it a tug and pull straight out. The new 74 bulb will pop in its place. If that does not work for ya, you can purchase them here for a whopping .49 a piece. You have to order a minimum of 10 though to get that price ;D

You can just turn the bulb socket with your finger. It will turn only one way, when it turns far enough you can work it out easily. Then pull it down and change your bulb, obviously installation is the reversal of removal.

I'm torn between taking the highway to confirm my highway mpg and taking the back roads (lengthens trip by at least an hr and not so good gas mileage, also unfamiliar route) but could be fun.

I just took a look, the bulb appears to be in a white plastic housing, not able to twist the plastic housing so I am going to assume you mean twist the black cable/wire the bulb is attached to not the plastic housing. Looks like it should pop backwards toward the trunk??? Also looks like I need to remove the license plate bracket to get better leverage to the bulb. Randy can you confirm it is a 194 bulb?

I guess it would make sense to replace both bulbs since I'm in there even though the other one is working. So I will be picking up 2 #194 bulbs later today. Thanks again. Will not be driving Aurora today but it is raining anyway and I just washed and waxed the pearl finish and don't want it to get dirty already. Did not know I was going to get so picky about this car.

license plate bulbs replaced and new rear bracket bolts.
now I want to find out how to get the VOL control on the steering wheel to work and to get brighter bulbs for the map lights (can hardly see anything when they come on - also have to figure out how to get to all these bulbs (I assume the steering wheel vol control is a bulb)

On the very first post it shows the rear turn to be the same bulb as the stop / tail light. Isnt the rear turn supposed to be a single element bulb? The posts calls for a 3057 but thats a double element bulb. I am looking at a tail light harness assy right now and two of the four sockets are wired for a single element bulb and two are wired for a double element. So i am wondering if it should be 2 x 3057 and 2 x 3155 ??

single element are 3056 or 3156
3057 are interchange with the following bulbs:
3157 3457 4157 p27w7
I find that the 4157 and the p27w7 are about the same brightness.

The bulb for the heated seats buttons, steering wheel controls, door locks, etc are; Radioshack #272-1092 This bulb is a direct replacement, but does require unsoldering the old bulb and soldering in the new one. I replaced the steering wheel and heated seats on mine. It's just a matter of getting to the switches to disassemble them and being handy with a soldering iron. There's a thread that has some pics of the bulbs; aurorah.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=nextgeneration&thread=16129&page=1

I started to take apart my dash to see if I could put LEDS behind my instrument cluster. I got all the gauges loose but didn't end up unplugging it because it seemed like it would be a bear to plug back in. I thought that I would ask you guys first before I do something stupid. I read on a previous post that the lights behind the gauges are 194s, but wanted to make sure. I noticed it was pretty enclosed too, and once that I would remove it and unplug it, there would additional screws to get to the bulbs from the back. It's possible though right?

I believe the lights behind the instrument cluster are soldered in, not plug-in lights. Mr. Javi has changed his gauge color, I'll see if I can get him over here to answer your question. I was wondering myself.

Awesome! Thanks bro...... I'm hoping they are like a few other lights on the cars, with those little blue condoms over the bulbs to give it the color ha. If not it would be a good challenge for me to replace the soldered ones, would be fun though, just got to have the patients/time.

I would suggest getting a gauge cluster from the salvage yard/ebay to practice. Make sure you you use a heat sync or you are going to potentially ruin the entire cluster...

I was wondering myself. Alright, I got the message about you guys changing your dash lights. The gauges use PC194, but basically it's a plastic holder with a 194 bulbs. Those bulbs can be replaced with 194 LED bulbs, but you will get, what's called Hot Spots. I just went with blue bulbs for that light blue touch to it. I was working on getting some custom EL gauges for the Classic, but my Classic met a tragic ending. The project it's still out there till the max orders are filled. Go to www.speedhut.com for details. www.speedhut.com/15orders_el_detail-auto_number-75.htm

So the gauge cluster itself would be easy enough to change to a different color. How many of them are there back there? I take it that the lights behind the A/C panel are LEDs? Did you have to solder those on, Javi? I wouldn't mind a set of EL gauges but I don't know if we would have enough interest. Let's continue EL gauge discussion here.
