Help----my check engine light came on after I changed my air filter. After back tracking I found that I had disconnected the sensor that is attached to the air box. I reconnected and the engine light went off only to return back on the next time I drove the car. I took it to auto zone and they said it was the IAT sensor. Where is this? and can I replace it myself? I would assume it is the one attached to the airbox---any help? Thanks

The IAT sensor is the sensor you disconnected. Intake Air Temperature sensor. You may just need to clear the code.

Auroras seem finicky about CELs. My Maxima's came on twice. Both times it stayed on solid until I fixed the problem and cleared the code. The Aurora's has been on twice. Both times it seems to clear itself at random times, but continues to store the codes for some time after the light goes off. The light will come on and go off randomly when the car is restarted. I don't know why they do this, but I know they are sophisticated machines!

I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes and then reconnected and the light went of for about 45 minutes. Someone told me to blow compressed air to possibly clean any debris that might have gathered on it---what do you think? I guess by disconnecting the battery I didn't clear the codes? It is smarter than that it seems!
