has anyone noticed a connection between using an in-tank fuel injector cleaner and having the check engine light come on ?
I've had the light go on three times since November and it usually hangs around until I refuel and go about halfway through the new tank. The CEL has been twice diagnosed as "loose gas cap", but midway through the tank and at 42 mph... Anyway, it came on about three weeks ago and lasted almost 150 miles.
Today, I was at Wallyworld and thought I ought to grab some injector cleaner for stock and it hit me that the last time I put some in was about the same time the light came on. I can't guarentee it, but it seems about right. Any thoughts on if the "jet fuel" used in STP or GumOut might make the engine burp enough to CEL ?
