Call me silly, but I just noticed we have nice chrome plated interior door handles. It was kinda nice to see that classy lil finish like that. What kinda small detail about the inside of your Aurora surpises you?

I was surprised by the tiny little cubby to the left of the steering wheel. It's so puny you can barely put anything in it, But it's nice it's there since they could have just omitted it.

I was impressed by the center console, and the large amount of storage space w/ the interior light. And a very adequately-sized glove box as well; usually you just get one or the other. Also the pull-down armrest in the backseat, containing the cupholders and more storage. Apparently I'm a sucker for storage space, I am just realizing. *Edit: oh yeah, and the memory function on the driver's power seat, linked to each keyfob. Nice.

Ever notice how beautifully sculpted the rear deck is behind the headrest....so nice I admire it each time I look into my rearview mirror

I don't have any cubby holes to the left of my steering wheel. I do like the pop-out cupholders. Call me wiered, but this is the first car that I have had that had "stealth" cup holders (only the 2nd car that I have had with cup holders period.) I like the lumbar support in the seats too. I don't adjust it much, but I like the idea of how I can position it to help my lower back.

I think that it was put in as a change holder for tolls that can still be paid for with coins. _______________ GM!!! BRING BACK OLDS!!!

Hands down the automatic dimming mirror with the compass. I love never having adjust the day/night function after getting blinded by someone behind me. And living in a new neighborhood, the compass comes in quite handy (as we never stop for directions, right?).
Then again, maybe its the heated seats. But that option will fade in importance as the months advance into spring and summer.
However, the real wood trim is a nice touch. So much more classy than the faux wood in lesser cars.
It could be the day/night sensor that automaticaly dims the dash and display lights. Not fiddling with a knob to adjust something juuussst right is great.
My S/O really loves the dual climate control knob as we never agree on the correct temperature.
This is a great car.

Sort of to tell them they aren't forgotten about. Plus, with the way the center console is angled, they'd have a hard time if it were there instead.

I never even knew this *was* a feature on the Classics! But now that I think about it, I never have had to adjust that brightness... how 'bout that. The car's so good to me that I'm starting to take its amenities for granted!

i like the memory seats and mirrors... i was so impressed when i got my new tires and the guys at the shop moved my seat back so they could move the car...when i got back inside to go home, my seat automatically moved back where i had it before i agree with jim...the chrome inside door handles are a classy touch...and, being a woman, i love the lighted vanity mirrors on both driver and passenger sides the compass in the rear view also is a nice touch when you are kind of lost and need to know which way you are traveling

Ooh, I just remembered something else that I love. Delayed power shutoff. If an interior light or any other powered accessory is left on, the computer automatically turns everything off after a certain amount of time to save battery power. No more early-morning dead batteries! Not exactly an interior feature (as most mentioned thus far), but still a nice touch!

One thing I hate about the delayed-power is that it will shut off if a passenger opens a door... What's up with that? Passengers always jump right out, leaving you to put up the windows, etc.
The driver will always get out of the car, so why not have it bound to that door only (plus it times out after 10 mins anyway)?? That's how it worked when it first came out, only the driver's door cancelled it...

Being able to tip the headrests forward was a nice touch. Just discovered it the other day. Had to look in the manual to figure out how to reset them. If you didnt know you can lean them forward 3 additional postitions. To reset pull all the way forward and they will return to normal postition.

All of the above plus the memory function on the driver's power seat and mirrors, the adjustable lumbar support in the seats, auto headlight turn on at dusk, off at dawn, the battery saver function, turning Off radio and interior lights after ten minutes - in key off position; dawg - Y'all just gotta love the Aurora Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Wonderful Rocket. Is it just me or in the 2nd gen the headrests tilt forward but don't stay if you lean on them? A bit useless in my opinion.. And in my car, the "battery saver" only activates after the battery dies, stupid car, or maybe the battery's getting old, it's 4 years now.

Only one thing I can think of that has been forgotten in this thread. When you push both memory buttons at the same time the driver's seat goes all the way back and down. Great for when you need to vac or for larger or taller drivers.
A few things I really miss that my '90 Touring Sedan had:
Steering wheel buttons for the mode of the climate control and radio band am/fm
Power side bolsters and POWER head rest (no heated seats though).
The Aurora was the car I chose to replace my Touring Sedan and I sure did get way more than I expected.
It's just an AWSOME RIDE!

Is there no "exit" button on the classic? The 2nd gen has a button marked "exit" that you can set to however you like, usually the seat all the way back. You can also program your profile to have the seat automatically go to the "exit" position when you turn the ignition off. Then it will revert back when you start it back up the next time. I really like how the memory is for like everything, not just the seats and mirrors. My wife always leaves the stereo cranked, but I never suffer from it as the radio reverts to my previous station/volume when I use my keyfob.

I think in an accident the headrest goes forward then locks to protect your neck. otherwise you can do with it what you please. I have mine tilted slightly forward on both seats. Gives it a luxury feel.

I noticed that on the 300M Special(s) that I tested, basically once the key is in the ignition the seat powers to the previous memory settings. I noticed that right off the bat and kinda startled me..lol
Then the opposite occurs when you take the key out.
Must be a 2000+ thing. 1st gen exiting feature requires driver input....d'oh!
