the upper dash pad (#12 in the classic aurora parts list) has a 3 inch crack in it. you can see the foam underneat. it looks like it shattered and someone glued the plastic outer layer back on. they did a crappy job and it's the most unsightly part of the interior.
GM PART # 25646374 CATEGORY: All PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00 GM LIST: $482.06 OUR PRICE: $274.77 DESCRIPTION: PAD
that's gmpartsdirect.com. i've been keeping an eye out on ebay. there's a black one on there right now. mine is a dark tan color. my interior has both light and dark tan. i'm guessing light is referred to as oak and dark as neutral. correct me if i'm wrong please. oh and btw it's supposed to have two colors, my dad's 98 is the same.
$274.77 for a piece of foam with a nice finish. damn. does anyone know where i can get it cheaper without rummaging through a scrap yard? if someone here has an extra one and wants to sell it to me i can paypal you the money. if you want to rummage through a scrap yard and find one for me i'll pay you.

Sure, I'll rumage through a scrap yard till I find one that looks brand new for ya. My fee will be $247.77, plus whatever I have to pay the scrapyard for the piece. Let me know when you can send the money.

I've been searching for a replacement for me too. I've put off buying one because the 95s come with a special mushroon colored interior. The parts guides have mushroom listed for every part including the whole dash piece except the upper dash panel.
I think later years were mostly neutral.
Letitroll, I would have to ask for more. I've been to a lot of scrap yards and all of the dashes (auroras) are shot. Mostly from sitting exposed. the florida weather probably doesn't

Oh, I know exactly where I'm getting the dash. I can absolutely guarantee you it will take almost no time at all to find the dash. Like I said, my fee will be precisely $274.44 for finding the dash, plus whatever the "scrap yard" charges me for the part and shipping costs. You don't need the receipt do you Roop, just the dash in new condition. And trust me, the one I have in mind will be indistinguishable from new.

You could pick that one up off eBay ($35 if it's the one I'm thinking about) and dye it to match your interior. I've done a lot of dyeing in Chevy/GMC trucks I've restored, and have had amazing results with SEM products. If you decide to go that route, go to interiorone.com - they have the best prices on premixed SEM dye in rattle-cans.

Wow. Sounds like these folks at intererione.com would have good touch up coloring for other areas of trim in the Aurora?
