Welcome to the club!
as far as i know the only way is to replace the entire wood trim console - big $$ unless you can find one is a bone yard.

What is messed up about it? Can you see it during the day but then gets all dirty when the lights come on? Or are the letters worn off? Or is the plastic scuffed beyond repair?
There's a few new NOS on ebay every now and then. I got mine a few years back. I believe there's one on the now if you check,

It looks like someone might have spilt something onto it and the fluid makes everything fuzzy and almost unreadable. I'll check out ebay, good suggestion. What is NOS??

NOS= New Old Stock. Parts GM made during the production run to be used as replacement parts. I just got done with my console. I had some light spillage around the traction control button that seeped up a bit. I removed the console and inserted a piece of printer paper I folded up (length wise) to fit between the clear plastic and the plastic backing piece. I pretty much "flossed" the area in-between the pieces. After the coke or sports drink or whatever spills and dries, it leaves behind a sugary sticky substance. After I got most of it out, I added some water to help flush it out (don't use cleaners, they'll just leave more residue behind). I also had some spots on the top of the clear plastic that I had to finish sand clear. 3500 Grit lightly to 5000 grit light then strong pressure to 8000 grit heavy to light pressure. Then Meguire's plastic waxed it. Turned out great. Dunno if yours is too far beyond repair. But that's what I did .

Think that's what we all want Yea sorry about ebay. The auction (item # 8020692456) ended yesterday at 1p.m. But it was the blue interior.
