Are there any collectors in this forum? Who might be interested in a 1/25th scale, "Signed" 1997 Indy 500 Official Pace Car. It is in mint condition, in the box, box is near mint also, brings certificate of authenticity, there was only 2500 of these models made, it says it on the bottom of the car...and this one is signed by Buddy Lazier. I would auction it off on ebay, but thought my fellow Aurora owners should have 1st dibs on bidding...so for now I will not put it up on ebay. So if you want to pm me your bids, go right ahead...bidding will start at $50 If you require any more images, I can take some more pictures and email or post them on here. Thanks, Jon Here are some images:

Yes you should have ;D...now its up for grabs, I have been able to confirm the signature...it is worth alot actually...dont be afraid to send me your bids. The person who sold it didnt know what they had on their hands. I am not a collector though, I collect "Benjamin Franklins", C Notes ;D I am tempted to keep it because it is very nice, and will be worth much more in the future...but it will go to the highest bidder. There was one I did not win on ebay, was a regular model, no signature or nothing, and it sold for $100 cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6934957886&ssPageName=STRK:MEDW:ITbut I have one just like it that should arrive anyday now, MINT, never been removed from box...it too will be up for auction, here is a pic:

Are you sure that's Buddy Lazier's signature on it? If so, he sure uses some weird letters to sign his name. It looks like it starts with an "R". How were you able to confirm it was his signature? And what does "confirm" mean? Do you have a document of authenticity, or a picture of him signing it, or what? And Arie Luyendyk won the Indy 500 in 1997, not Buddy Lazier (he came in 4th). I believe Johnny Rutherford actually drove the pace car during the 1997 Indy 500. And FYI, the model you pictured from the second auction is not an Indy 500 pace car, but rather one of the IRL pace cars from the various other races. And lastly, you bought it for $31, but want to resell it to your "fellow Aurora owners" starting at $50?

In regards to the signature, the seller emailed me & said it was signed in an after party...?....I said the same thing, it looks like an R, but I'd have to do more research on locating something with his sig on it. And yes, my mistake the other car is an IRL pace car. Finally, what is the sense in me buying something for $31, and selling for a mere couple dollars more I did buy it to resell after all... Well that just leads to me think I might as well put them on ebay, before the end of the day, unless I hear back from someone else...might have better luck there...& yes, bidding will start at $50, people dont just buy to resell and break even. I just thought i'd give the forum a 1st take at it, being that we all own Aurora's...but I guess no one is either a collector, or they just want me to give it away...(raise your hand if you want a free collector car...right)

dude. keep it, dont sell it. if you want to buy and sell on ebay for profit, do that with Dell Latitude C610's for like 1 year straight like i have. i made over 3 thousand doing that in the last year. you have to have money to start though, and a credit card. but keep that damn pace car and damn me i should have gotten it. doh. i did get this one however from boorklyn galleries, the same one as you are getting. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6935976237&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

UPDATE
One of my bidders just pointed out that the signature doesnt belong to Buddy Lazier after all...I knew that looked like an R...
It is signed by Ron Hemelgarn, He was the car owner for Buddy Lazier's Indy 500 win in 1996.
So for those of you who didn't want to bid on it, now you know who signed it...
Now I wish I would have asked for more $, its OK, it's already at $52.
You all had the chance.
