Here's a nice 1995 Aurora for sale. The seller apparently knows something about Auroras. Mentions that his Aurora has the Autobahn option as well as the gold package. But in the gold package he says "Gold Package (including license plate and exhaust tips)" to which I thought wasn't true as the exhaust tips for all models were black including gold option cars? cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-Olds-Aurora-Autobahn-and-Gold-Package_W0QQitemZ4566448616QQcategoryZ6404QQrdZ1QQcAlso, he calls the car "Purple Pearl Metallic." The car is the same color as mine. I thought mine was medium mushroom when I first purchased the car, as it came with a bottle of medium mushroom touch-up paint. Later, I saw omegic's actual medium mushroom color. And at tirerack.com they call the color CopperMist. It makes sense as there is a very similar color BronzeMist. However, for those that remember, formerly Zincster's website said CopperMist was only available in 1998 MY. Also, I strongly believe that, whatever this color is, was only available in 1995 MY as I never seen it available in any other year but 95. Any ideas?

I have no clue now... I thought "Purple Pearl" was the deep purple they had available on the '97, '98, and '99 Auroras and the '98, '99, and '00 Intrigues and the '99 and '00 Aleros. I'm as lost as you are on this one...

Just to add to the confusion, I found this; ve3eie.ncf.ca/rpo-1le.html The color is identical to omegic's medium mushroom color. Apparently the Purple Pearl color is somewhat popular with the Camaro crowd. I guess maybe trying to appeal to a different audience with the Aurora? But usually GM is pretty good at keeping their stuff in order... So confused...

GM never offered such a color in the Aurora.

The gold tailpipe tips are aftermarket items. They aren't stock. I found gold tailpipe tips at the site noted below. www.protriminc.com/LP.html
