Hard times call for desperate measures. It has come to a point in my life that I can either drive a nice car, or buy a bigger home, but can't do both.
Therefore my beloved, highly customized Aurora has got to go. I will probably be putting it on Ebay Friday or Saturday. My Ebay user ID is thesing_clan, in case anybody is interested, or just wants to see if it sells. Blue book on it is $15K, I am hoping to get at least $17K for it, but am open to offers. Only thing wrong with it is that it needs new tires within the next 2 months, they're getting pretty bald.
So there ya go, as much as I hate to do it, it's official. My car is up for sale. By the way, I am located in St. Paul Minnesota.
Thanks!

How many miles are on it, and what options does it have? Good luck with the sale! Post up a link when you've got the eBay ad together.

What are you getting to replace it? The Aurora's already a pretty cheap car... in terms of relating it to how much a big house costs and whatnot.

You know... You could always go with an older Aurora. Cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure, and a V8 all as added bonuses!

Apparently not. At 10:35 (EST) the listing has been removed by eBay.

Hmm. . . auction says the title is a salvage title, must of been stolen.

Its salvage title because it was involved in a wreck..then repaired.

Its salvage title because it was involved in a wreck..then repaired. Not necessarily, in MN and some other states, a "salvage" title can mean that the vehicle was stolen and recovered, but you could be right.

Or its only worth its value as salvage.

Hey 02Aurora, I have just a few suggestions that might help you move the car more easily:
One would be to put new tires on it. Not too many people want to buy a used car that they know they will immediately have to spend more on. In addition, they will just take out the price of tires from what they feel it's worth. So if you just replace them, it will end up costing about the same, but make the car a lot more desirable, and make the ad less wordy.
Two would be to clean your engine sight shield, take a new pict, and replace the current one. The dirt and dust on it is very visible even in that small picture. Details matter when selling a car, especially the obvious details.
Three would be to remove the lien if possible before the sale. I realize this might not be possible, but on eBay, things move kind of quick. I think people expect a rather quick turnaround, and the thing with the lien is an unknown that can cause delay. If someone were planning on travelling a ways to get the car, this unknown might make the difference between your car and a different one.
