Just stumbled across a 98 Collectors Edition on ebay this morning. Never heard of one of these before but its in really good shape as far as the pics go. 66k miles in Orlando FL. Doesnt say whether or not its Autobahn equipped but I assume it would be. Definitely worth a look

Huh? No such thing as an Aurora "Collectors Edition." That's my thought... especially only 3 years after the model was introduced? Hmm... have you got the link or item #?

Just goes to show how crooked some people can be. I was taken by it at first but better knowledge and talking to you guys made me realize its a scam. Probably some other hidden information about that vehicle too.

I sent the seller an e-mail explaining that there was never a "collectors edition" classic Aurora and that he was selling the vehicle under false pretenses.

Good thinking...as much as I love the Aurora I dont want to see someone getting doped into buying an unreal vehicle. Stars for doing a civic duty

I sent the seller an e-mail explaining that there was never a "collectors edition" classic Aurora and that he was selling the vehicle under false pretenses. The seller is probably some small dealer that doesn't know any better (or care) anyhow. For the record, any "Collector's Edition" always has special features that go along with it (other than badges). There was nothing like that mentioned in that listing, aside from the fact that the seller spelled it "collectors eddition". It was just a regular Aurora in every other way (not that it looked bad, since mine is identical minus the rims ). BucsFan, I'll be curious to know what (if any) response you receive...

I'll post the response if I get one. I wrote the message in a way so that I wouldn't sound like I was accusing him of anything but rather just informing him of his mistake, if that's what it was.

Haha, the badge is only on the one side! And it doesn't include the words "aurora" or "oldsmobile" or anything. Heck the badge is in gold but the car doesn't even have the gold badge package... Geez!

Hehehe, very funny. I'm sure it was just the previous owner and the dealer knows nothing about Auroras and doesn't even realize Also looks like there's a good size dent on the passenger side back door.. or maybe that's optical illusion? Very funny car badge, Steven would be interested in it

No man...some of you guys said it was lame for me putting a V8 Northstar badge on my car. At least it matches the engine description nayway and i like it. I see peolpe looking ati t all the time.
That bozo on ebay is just that -- nothing more nothing less. But the 99 is SHARP. look at that paint! only 50k miles. GEM.

This is the kind of snake oil salesman that gives car dealerships a bad name. Just plain sorry.

The only special badging I've ever seen is on a 97 for the 100th annaversary. (which they did a horrible job of marketing it!) It's on a car with a unique color only available in 97, med metalic blue or something like that. I'm trying to talk my in laws into buying it. It's super nice! Anyway, if I can get a pic of it, I'll put it on here.

Yeah. The 100th Anniversary of Olds came and went and not so much as a "Poof" out of it! Marketing, marketing, marketing.

IM in Orlando maybe I can check it out. I'll be right there. Oh, wait. We got a storm coming tonight to dump 12+ inches of snow on my booty. Thanks, but I've got other plans. Let's see, golf clubs vs. snow shovel? If I had a snomobile, maybe I would be more excited about snow.

IM in Orlando maybe I can check it out. Since the auction ended 4 months ago today, I'm guessing that Aurora is long gone by now.

is that why they make bright orange golf balls so you can play in the snow?
