Anyone know where I could find a factory navigation setup? What do I need to get the whole thing setup and working?

I've been researching this for awhile, as I plan to do this when I inherit the below '01 from my mom in a couple years. I've read there are something like ~3500 Auroras with navigation in existence, so it's not a very common thing. You can occasionally find the screens only (i.e. not including the other hardware) on eBay. I've read a tutorial about installing the system into a Classic. You'd need the CD drive, Bose radio setup (as the nav screen takes away the CD player), the internal antenna (under the upper part of the dash pad behind the DIC), and the screen itself, including of course a radio code. Screens on eBay never sell, and they are usually set at around $200, which incidentally is exactly the amount factory nav equipment adds to the value of a 2001 Aurora on kbb.com. It seems pretty straightforward, especially in a 2nd-gen, which is already built for the hardware. If I remember correctly, the Classic installation required some resizing of the radio opening, and installation of the actual unit hardware in the glovebox (I think the factory '02 installation is in the trunk), as well as accompanying creative wiring. I'm anxious to try it someday.

ebay is a good place for it. But yes, they are rare and pop up only a few times per year. Last time I saw one it went for around $350 or so? It runs off of a map CD, and there's also a GPS antenna. Other than that, assuming you get it running (program VIN code, hookup everything, etc..), you just need a new CD player to play your music - not necessarily bose though, just a changer I believe.

Also check your junkyards locally or even stock online to see 2nd gen (2002-03) Auroras - they may have the nav unit and junkyards would sell it cheap, like $400 or so. Then you'll get all the hardware and everything. Though possibly not the CD (not DVD).

It should. That item came with the Nav radio.

I thought you had to have the Bose system to get the 12-disc changer. Perhaps it's the other way around...

It was different in 02-03. In 2002 you couldn't have a Bose system with the Nav Radio, but you had the 12-disc changer. In 03 you could get both. The changer comes with the Bose, but the Bose doesn't come with the changer. In other words it's not a Bose changer, just an AC Delco unit.

So what do I need to hook this all up...Just the actual Navi screen, and then I can play my music through that and through my 12 disc?

You can, but if you play your music through the CD player of the nav unit, you will not be able to use the navigation functions, as they are stored on a data CD that goes into the nav unit.
So you need the nav screen, data CD, and GPS antennas. It should bolt right into your second gen, but I haven't done it myself so of course no guarantees.
