Interesting AuctionOnly 34,000 miles, and in great shape. Real FL car, no front plate mount. Has to have been garaged, the wheel, shifter, and dash are LIKE NEW! Shame the car has ZERO options. Who says, okay, I'll spend $36,000 on a luxo-car, but say, "oh no, the options are too much." EDIT:LMAO This place also has an '01 4.0 with no options either.

I'll be interested to see what this sells for. How much do options mean in real money on an Ebay dealer retail sale? That is really low miles. I'm guessing this sale will end between $6000 - $7000?
But then again, a General Lee Dukes of Hazard Metro Geo or something like that sold for $4000 with 170K miles on it. Ebay prices often don't follow real market value.

I think it'll go to $8000-9000. In an Aurora, options are pretty much meaningless to the average buyer. I mean people might notice sunroof, but other than that, not really. The Aurora came with everything pretty much standard - few options were heated seats, sunroof, CD changer, chrome wheels, Bose, Autobahn... To the average buyer, they really wouldn't notice these things. And it has an aftermarket CD changer with a remote! You can tell it's wired through an FM transmitter because that "1" button on the radio has been pressed so many times - pre programmed to the frequency of the CD changer (I had the same thing on my old Eighty-Eight, exact same radio, and pre-programmed to the 1 button as well, what a coincidence, hehe) But I've seen classic '99s go more than $9k within the year, so it'll easily go past $8k.

I can understand the no heated seats in South Florida, but no s/f? I guess maybe worried about leaks later on.
My guess is $7500. Classic's have fallen on hard times at ebay lol.

$5600 with more than 3 days left speaks highly of the car and its condition I'd say. And I do find it quite cool that even at an "optionless" level our Auroras still have CD players, power seats, lumbar, locks, windows, fog lights, and many other amenities that really *are* options on other lower-class models.

The seller looks respectable. If the winning bidder is not satisfied with the car, he will refund the money.

Is it just me or is the radio locked?

Weird.... It looks awful... The buttons are terribly worn and nasty! It not only looks locked, but the screen looks like it's half burnt out. All I can say is, our Eighty-Eight has the same design radio (without Theftlock and CD player) and after 108k miles it has no knob or button wear. I'd say that radio has been replaced for whatever reason with a very well-used one.

Who cares about the radio. Stock stunk anyway... But man this is a little rediculous. Every low mileage car like this on ebay has grandma straight-from factory stuff. No sunroof or autobahn or nothing. I can't imagine driving this car without a moonroof. Who could? It's hard enough without the autobahn gears for god's sake . I'd take the seats on that thing, but my passenger seat seems like it would be better than that one. I swear there isnt a mark on it, it's never used.

Wow, the guy has a 1990 ZR1 with 6700 miles on it! That'll go for a rediculous price. Even has original window sticker and everything ($60,590).

Mac, did you see the 1988 Lincoln Town Car they have? I know you have a special place for them. 39,000 miles too. Plus the ext. color is pretty cool. The real shame is how the new owner is going to treat it. It probably just got it last wash for the rest of its life from the car dealer. The average car bought for $4,000 doesn't see much care/maintenance or gentle times.

hehe, I'm surprised you remembered that. And SO cheap! Though again it has pretty much no options... external keypad though, I had that in mine. I'd keep the key in the ash tray and just use that to lock/unlock Though in mine when I got it the odometer had just 28k... rolled over once

Well, everyone was short, $9,545. HA! Out sold the 2nd Gen too ($8724). Well, if the best of the best can only bring 9k, things aren't looking pretty for me lol.

It had no options? Had an aftermarket CD changer, yes, and a radio that seems to have been swapped with an old one. I think it was overpaid for. I've seen Auroras with less miles go for less.

WOW, that dealership made their money back for sure! It's amazing what a great car and an effective advertisement can do (something GM apparently can't figure out in selling their NEW cars lately). I paid almost $2k less than that for my '99 in 2004... it had more miles, but not a LOT more (53k when I bought it). Suddenly I'm feeling like I got a real good deal!
