so i noticed a few guys have put "performance" eibach lowering springs on their cars and i seem to like how they look. i did a search and can not find the springs. would i be using a cadillac spring or is there something that someone like eibach makes that is specific for the aurora? i tried searching but found no results.
also, i know this is not performance related, but does anyone make a tow hitch to tow a small trailer for these cars? does anybody have one? i was considering getting one for a small trailer i may be pulling. it wont be anything over 800lbs. will i have to cut up the rear end for this to happen? thanks guys!

If you want a lowerd effect for cheap...disconnect the ELC..lol (sorry talking from experience) I'm not sure what the deal is with lowering springs. I am trying to weigh out the benefits, but its a trade off. Later model classic Auroras have improved suspension and dont accomodate a lowering kit. I dont think I will get one, but I'll let others talk on that one.
As for a tow package, I have seen Auroras with a hitch, and a standard back end (ie no chopping) I would however invest in another tranny cooler.

Ya, his name is Mikey, its a brown 95 right? 18's with a lowering kit. It does look good, but ironically he sold it shortly after and bought an Alero.
havent heard from him since, granted we are talkin about the same guy.

Doesn't RSM sell lowering springs? I believe the Eibachs were discontinued long ago.

Ya, but RSM got really really expensive all of a sudden $700 bux for a lowering kit...ah no thanks, I'll take my ghetto busted ELC any day *sigh* oh well.

He he, LOL Steven, I thought you had complied with Isnibs' request and was going to compliment you on your restraint. Then I got to the bottom and your signature line "get the F out of my way". Oh well, you tried. ;D Good link.
As for your children Isnibs, first, God bless and keep them. Second, Steven is one. He's 16 and as is wont with youth, they will boast and curse too much. This will pass only with time, at which point there will be some other young whippersnapper making life heck for adults (Including Steven by then). I would respectfully advise tolerence in these matters.
As for the site, the language is filtered, the admins ban jerks, and it's not Sesame Street sponsored. It's a site for adult owners of Auroras. I don't think anything on the site would injure the delicate psyche of reading age children, but they should be here only in a supervised fashion anyway. I hope your kids get only a positive experience reading these posts, but perhaps you might screen beforehand a touch.
Oh yeah, the thread, I almost forgot. I used to tow a 3,000lb boat and trailer with a Chrysler Concorde. Only local roads for a couple of miles, but man, was I crazy or what. It did work, without breaking anything, while I owned the car. I even dropped the loaded trailer off the hitch at 35 mph with only a tiny mark on the trunk (proper tow chains saved me). So I think you'd get away with it on an Aurora, but not something I'd do (again). Buy an old Ford PU for towing duty.

LOL letitroll. Sorry isnibs. I will try to keep it under control hehe. I am not Mr. Road rage ALL the time on the road but i especially hate it when someone is driving real slow, and i blow them out from the left lane, then they have the balls to pass me. At that point, i will pass them again and will block every attempt for them to pass me.

Quote "Sorry isnibs. I will try to keep it under control hehe." Thanks steven I appreciate it. and wot I tell my children " wait till you grow up an have kids.........You'l see" BTW. Good link. When my shocks and ELC first died I searched for better springs ( my Aurora bottomed out on a ramp with a full load) without luck.

Quote "As for your children Isnibs, first, God bless and keep them" Thankyou, I wish the same for you and yours.
As for screening. They have their own computers and are all 'on the net', sadly, I have to admit I've heard worse from their peers at the school.
Ref:- towing To me it seems aesthetically wrong to imagine an Aurora towing anything.

(though S.FL isn't really the south lol) Any sound links yet? I vote to pin a thread and have everyone post their exhaust sound links
