Some anti-Ford people here will probably want to shoot me for asking this question, but here goes:
Will mufflers from an '03 Mustang GT fit my '99 Aurora? A co-worker of mine said he'll give me his stock mufflers and tips if I want them, when he gets his exhaust reworked in the near future. Even if they fit, would it be a good match, in regards to sound and performance? Thoughts?

I imagine most anything could be made to fit. Do they have similar entrance/exits as the Aurora? And are they similar in size?
I'm not sure OEM Mustang mufflers would really be a whole lot freer than OEM Aurora ones. Maybe a bit, though. If it won't cost you much, it can't hurt to try it. Aren't the tips one round tip per side, though?
Personally I'd just get some Super Turbos or something, though since it wouldn't be much more expensive. You could still use those tips if you like them.

i thought any OEM ones were crap. Get some Super Turbos like me if you can! At Midas, the 2 Super Turbo mufflers and 2 chrome tips was a total of $379 installed. but they arent stainless steel.

The Mustang tips are single pipe outlets, as opposed to the double doubles I'd rather have. I'm not sure about the in/out muffler orientation, I've still gotta check into those details. I have Super Turbos on my '69 Executive, and they are pretty darn loud (could be due to the engine size... 400ci or 6.5L). I want something quieter than that on my Aurora, but still with a little rumble. Obviously I'm in it to save money with the Mustang mufflers, it's not that I think they'd necessarily be the greatest choice of everything out there.

Hey Scotty, I hear what you are saying. What I meant was that you might not actually save any money, though. If the Mustang mufflers need more customization of the piping for them to fit, that might blow the money savings of the free mufflers. I don't think Super Turbos are more than about $100 for both mufflers. I imagine if you went with 2.25" inlet/outlets that they shouldn't be a whole lot louder than stock, though I'm not positive. I hear you on not wanting it to be loud. You could go take a look under your buddies car and see how his mufflers are oriented, though. Might give you more of an idea of whether they'll work or not. On the Dynomax page, they have a sound clip of a stock Mustang, I don't know that it's much of a help, though: www.dynomax.com/sounds.stm
