No but after taking my 82 YO neighbor's 97 STS out for a blow yesterday, I'll be standing in line for a 4.6 when my engine goes. That was the bonus for putting new WP idler and belt on. 72,000 original miles and both pulley and belt were failed.
If you have 10 years on your water pump belt, it's 5 years past due for changing. They are $7.00 at Autozone.

Yeah the 4.6 is a nice compliment in our lighter Aurora's. Miss mine, thinking about doing a swap next year. But of course use the northstarperformance head bolt set and seal the engine from front to back.

Ran consistent low 15s, 15.006-15.079, I did get below 15 on one pass, a 14.9881 with the Madtuner computer. I switched to the stock Autobahn computer halfway through and still stayed in the low 15s. I did burn my tires a couple runs, one of those being the below 15 run, but did not keep doing it as that is very rough on them and my tires need to last a bit. I am proud to say I have the fastest Classic Aurora 1/4 mile time, there are 2 2G @ times that are still faster than mine. I still have some things to change and with some newer tires, bigger exhaust, higher fuel pressure, 2G injectors, new motor mounts, new spark plugs, and trans pressure set at max, I think I could do a little better as long as my car can hold together. My number is 13. Here is my best time slip.

Hey Randy, that's awesome! Feel free to add it into the OP, or else let me know what year your car is and I will add it.

I have a 99 autobahn Aurora with 165000 miles on it runs like an absolute dream. and it rips. only known mod is a K and N filter in the Air Box. Now bear in mind my results are not from a drag strip but rather a cell phone app. but I have good reason to believe the 1/4 mile time i came up with is good because the app registerd almost an 8.5 on the 0 to 60 time which is an indication it may have started timing a little late which would also put the quarter mile distance out further rather than closer if anything. I came up up with a 14.9 it was about 40 degrees and at night. I was in a fairly tree covered area as well. One thing that would make a pretty significant shave on quarter mile and 0 to 60 would be a harder shifting program engineered into PCM. Basically with the stock setup it's like running a car with a stick shift and a guy that wastes a lot of time shifting. That said every car is not the same. Some just run better than others. This one would chew 98 non autobahn right up at any given time. my 99 would handily spank a GTP from that era at least out on the highway and til 109. this thing the GTP may as well stay on the couch. I have a buddy with a Park Avenue Ultra i would lunch that car too but it would be pretty damn close. If you think those grampa cars were slow look at the numbers of all the S/C 3800 cars grampa's was the fastest and not just by a little I know it was at least a full tenth which is at least three car lengths at this speed.

those runs were T/C off then just stand on it at go time. my not to 60 time was much more respectable than what the app showed. These apps are very accurate at least the one I was using was. Not saying she's a legit Sub 15 but close. I ran her over a scale on a job i was working near home I am 310 Lbs. I am gonna say it was like 3880. Now mind you a scale at a company like the one I weighed in on is governed by the Interstate Commerce Commisionand tested annually at a minimum.

Video from the last meet. Aurora 4.6 vs. Aurora 4.0, Aurora 4.0 is the one in the mirror.

Fastest 1/4 mile classic! Had a miss but still beat my time from last year, 14.7482 @ 93.13, I will get the time slip posted, time permitting.

Randy awesome time! BTW...I put your 1/4 mile time as the fastest Aurora on the forums. You did that without nitrous.
Second thing I'd like to add is, it's so frustrating for me knowing my 98' regal GS(supercharged) did a factory time of 14.43@98.6mph with crappy tires (2.35 60ft),when the others avg. 2.0's....and the car is a curb weight almost the same as the Aurora. With a v8 we don't even touch it. I wish there was a easier way! Haha.

High 14s out of a non-performance car are pretty darn good. Congrats.
I was able to get my CC/SB 4x4 Duramax truck down to 12.14@111 before I retired it. It would be an absolute riot to get my Aurora down to low 12s, not that I think its possible...but it would be a hoot to try it. Would need cubic dollars to attempt, though.

Randy & I have a little grudge match to settle soon...like in a few weeks. We are super curious how my Shelby build with sage 3 pcm is going to stand up to his 4.6. I didn't know I was in the top ten before! I had a bad coil and he had a failing injector that night. I was also winning at one point (off the line) but let up early at the end.

I’m ready to take my w-30 out to the track this summer for sure! 3 years ago I had a nasty random misfire that has since been addressed. I’m hoping to crack into that list!!
