well, this had potential to be a good video. It's really not because 1. My connection timed out during upload so it was cut off at the end.. 2. This was my first video being recorded on my video input card so the quality wasn't set right. 3. The camera was too low... The idea of this video was so you could hear the intake hiss I was talking about in another thread. When I take off away from the camera that is at a little over 1/2 throttle. WHen i'm coming back towards the camera that is full throttle. Unfortunately there was a part that just after the car passes the camera you can hear the car shift, and you can hear the loud hissing noise again as it shifts. media.putfile.com/aurorastreetOh, and my transmission slipped on the way back towards the camera from behind.. you can hear the engine Rev, hit the rev limiter, and rev again. media.putfile.com/auroratrans(this is part of the end of the first video that got cut off.)

damn, that hiss is pretty dominant. A turbo Aurora does exist!!! Sweet vids though. I also would take it easy on the tranny for a little bit.

Yeah, that doesn't really sound like an airbox hiss. Maybe a leak in the intake manifold itself? I suggest that because I had a friend back in the day who was a total wannabe and installed a blowoff on the intake manifold of his CRX, which caused the car to make the turbo "pshhh" sound everytime he shifted. It was pretty stupisd actually, because in doing so he robbed his engine of vital intake pressure. Nevertheless, his faux "blowoff" noise sounded similar to your hiss.

hm. 30 views, 2 replies? I take it no one else has an idea of what that intake noise is? The idea of the video was so that you would be able to hear it.. Or just general comments or whatever.

I dont know about the whine. Maybe there is a leaf or something in your gutted airbox..
But if that trans is going out at 47k, thats a really big problem.

The video is cool... Your exhaust sounds good for a V6. You should have heard my Impala!
Sorry, but I have no idea what that noise is.

I cant get the 2nd vid to work Dan. I was hoping your "hiss" may be more like intake whine at high RPM, but it doesnt appear to be that way. I think your trans will be ok though, just a lil burp, happens to me to and I dont have tranny issues.
